James Green

Partner, Jim Green, brings a truly valuable blend of experience to Cleary & Green's gay and lesbian clients.  He is an accomplished attorney who has successfully advocated for individuals in family law matters related to domestic issues.  Mr. Green has handled hundreds of domestic law matters ranging from divorces and domestic violence issues to drafting various contracts/agreements related to family law issues. Mr Green has enthusiastically handled domestic partnership creations and is skilled in domestic partnership dissolution matters. He has vast knowlege related to child support and custody matters affecting domestic partners and same sex parents.  Attorney Green embraces challenges and passionately advocates for Claery & Green's clients.  He has appeared in California at numerous hearings related to family law/domestic issues. Moreover, he has worked on appeals and helped individuals prepare legal documents and paperwork nationally.  He is truly one of Southern California's most valuable same sex advocates. Furthermore, Mr. Green earned an advanced legal degree, an LLM in Taxation, from the esteemed University of Missouri-Kansas City and has drafted hundreds of wills.  It is this unique blend of experience which makes Mr. Green stand out from other attorneys across this nation.  He is compassionate, forward thinking and open-minded. Mr. Green attended the University of Kansas' prestigious law school.  During law school Mr. Green was very active and took advantage of the school's numerous opportunities.  He is admitted to the United State's Federal Court and an active member of the State Bar of California and has historically been active in both Kansas and Washington.  Mr. Green is also a member of both Los Angeles County and San Diego County BAR Associations.
